Bridget UGWE

Bridget Ugwe is a French-Nigerian journalist who works as editor-in-chief for the pan-African channel Africanews, a subsidiary of Euronews. She manages a bilingual team of African journalists, as well as correspondents across the continent. 

Previously, Bridget hosted a weekly culture segment, where she focused on the diaspora's involvement in promoting the African continent. 

As a reporter, she has interviewed prominent figures such as President Emmanuel Macron, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, and AfDB President Akinwumi Adesina. 

Bridget also moderates high-level panels and conferences (Rebranding Africa Forum, CIAN Africa Forum, Ambition Africa, Vivatech, etc.) and coaches public speaking through her company Shine Your Light Coaching.

Deeply committed to the younger generation, Bridget is involved on a daily basis with associations that support and mentor young people, guiding them in their career choices and professional development.

She is one of the Young Leaders of the French African Foundation.
